Bryan Ratkay
Sound healer, meditation guide, Human Tuning/Biosonics Practitioner and certified Gong Avatar Academy Trainer based in San Luis Obispo County, California. Through planetary gongs, meditation and deep listening practices, Donar creates spaces for restoration, presence and transfomation.
Donar came to sound healing through his own experience of seeking stillness in a world that rarely offers it. What began as a personal practice deepened into a calling — and eventually into years of formal training with some of the most respected teachers in the field.
Donar is a spiritual name received through the Gong Avatar Academy tradition. It reflects the archetype of the cloud drummer—the one who calls forth sound from the sky—and the power of vibration to awaken awareness.
Today, Donar works with individuals and groups throughout San Luis Obispo County, offering sessions that draw on planetary gongs, biosonics tuning forks, and guided meditation. Each session is shaped by the needs of the person or group present — there is no fixed script, only attentive presence and the willingness to follow the sound where it leads.
His approach is grounded in both the ancient and the contemporary: the ceremonial traditions of gong practice, the physiological science of sound therapy, and the contemplative wisdom of yoga and meditation. These are not separate disciplines for Donar — they are one conversation about how human beings can come home to themselves.

"The gong does not perform. It reveals. My role is simply to hold the space in which that revelation can occur safely and with intention."
Every session begins with intention and ends with integration. Donar believes that sound healing is not a performance but a practice of deep listening — for both the practitioner and the participant. The gong is a mirror, reflecting what is ready to be seen, heard, and integrated.
